Dagger is a redundantly named Dagger Weapon in Demon's Souls. Daggers are small, nimble bladed weapons with rapid attacks and a horizontal slash + thrusting moveset. All Daggers have hidden Riposte and Backstab damage multipliers - the value for these is currently unknown.
A standard dagger.
A slashing weapon that inflicts heavy damage on soft flesh but has a limited effect on metal armor and hard scales. Daggers are very effective after parrying, as well as in close-range stabs from behind.

This has a really strange appearance in the remake. It looks more like a sword that snapped at some point and what remained of the blade was reshaped into a dagger than something that was always intended to be a dagger from the start.
