Ceramic Coin

Usage Recover tiny amount of HP
Trade with Sparkly the Crow
Weight 1.0

Ceramic Coin is a Consumable item in  Demon's Souls RemakeConsumable items grant various effects such as restorative properties for recovering HP, removing certain negative status effects, applying temporary buffs and debuffs, as well as activating various actions and effects.

A cheap coin of dried clay. Crush to recover a tiny amount of HP. Extremely brittle and fragile, the glimmer has faded much like the value.

How to give Ceramic Coins to someone else

  1. Dropping these coins will break them, so you can only do this at Sparkly the Crow.
  2. Be summoned as a blue phantom and drop the coins for Sparkly the Crow. Sparkly must say "Happy, happy".
  3. Stay while your friend saves and quits and reloads.
  4. Your friend will receive the Rusted Key if you dropped 26 coins, or he will receive the coins if you dropped less.

Ceramic Coins Location: Where to Find Ceramic Coins

  • Found during Fractured Mode gameplay. Ceramic Coins are scattered around every archstone, but you can only find them in Pure White World Tendency or Pure Black World Tendency. Currently 13 Ceramic Coins have been found, but it's possible there's more to be discovered. Ceramic Coins are always hidden in breakable props, so roll and destroy everything you see to find them.

Pure White World Tendency:

  1. Gates of Boletaria 1 - 1 (PWWT) – After rescuing Ostrava, in the room where the two soldiers break the doors to attack, destroy furniture in the room.
  2. Inner Ward 1 - 3 (PWWT) – Near the beginning and up some stairs, stop at the guards and take a side path. Go straight through a broken railing, down two ledges, and turn around to find a ladder. Climb it, then break boxes to get a coin.
  3. Inner Ward 1 - 3 (PWWT) – In the courtyard overlooking the boss fog gate, where the Primeval Demon spawns, go on the upper walkway and break a box in the corner where there’s crows that fly away.
  4. The Tunnel City 2 - 2 (PWWT) – From the Flamelurker Archstone (Underground Temple), go backwards to the lava pit with many Bearbugs. Break their molted shells on one of the islands.
  5. Prison of Hope 3 - 1 (PWWT) – In one of the smaller cells with a spiked chair in it, near the ball of bodies that shoots at the player, roll and break the chair. The cell is opposite the Crystal Lizard spawn.
  6. Island's Edge 4 - 1 (PBWT) – In the cell where you find Graverobber Blige, near Vanguard Demon. The coin is in a box in the corner.
  7. Swamp of Sorrow 5 - 2 (PWWT) – Follow the scaffolding path after the fog door upwards until the end where you can start dropping down. This coincides with the waterfall where Depraved One enemies drop from.  To the left of the waterfall is a spot to drop down.  Drop down once and look toward the wall, then drop on the narrow edge between wall and platform. You will fall onto a ledge with a crate, break the crate. *This coin can bug out and not appear. Just reload the world and run there again.

Pure Black World Tendency:

  1. The Lord's Path 1 - 2  (PBWT) – On the upper floor of the tower near the boss fog gate, go up the stairs to the floor above and break the table near the winch holding the drawbridge.
  2. Inner Ward 1 - 3 (PBWT) – Right before the two Fat Official Black Phantom spawn, there is a railing you can vault over on the right side. Break the barrel below it to find the coin.
  3. Smithing Grounds 2 - 1 (PBWT) – In the area with Lava Lizards on a column. After defeating some attack Dogs, proceed down the slope and break boxes near some ore smelting pots.
  4. Prison of Hope 3 - 1 (PBWT) –  When you use the side path to avoid the statue that shoots arrows, there’s two adjacent corridors with wardens in them that lead to a big staircase that leads to a courtyard that’s connected to one of the towers near the Fool Idol’s boss. Check the dead-end grates in that courtyard to find a box near one of the grates you can destroy.
  5. The Ritual Path 4 - 2 (PWWT) – In the pit Patches knocks you into, in one of the boxes.
  6. Swamp of Sorrow 5 - 2 (PBWT) – In the shanty town area before the Dirty Colossus Boss Fight, break boxes in the room above the depraved shaman in the area before the fog gate.

How to Use Ceramic Coins

Trade 26 Ceramic Coins to Sparkly the Crow to obtain the Rusted Key.

The Rusted Key will open a door in Boletaria's Inner Ward leading to the Penetrator Set.

The coins in 4-1 and 2-1 are mixed up. The one in patches' room is for pure black tendency and the one in graverobber's cell is for pure white. Make sure if you mix these up and pick up the Makoto that you do NOT kill Satsuki or you will lose pure white.

I'm literally farming ceramic coins as I sit here, and the person below made an incorrect edit. PWWT is the coin in Bilge's cell, and PBWT is the coin in the pit patches kicks you into. I just picked them up . As of the moment I write this message, the wiki says the opposite.

        • I change opposite locations to 4 - 2 is PWWT and 4 - 1 is PBWT. I check all 2 in remake and here was write opposite. Only I forgot to insert link in name of locations!!

Does killing black phantom Ostrava, before king alant shift the pwwt back to neutral?, asking because I'm not sure, being that before you face the final boss in bolitaria Ostrava dies and is a black phantom before the elevator to king alant

There's a secret ladder that grants you access to Sparkly the Crow's nest. You have to drop the Penetrator Set (4 pieces total) and then reset at the archstone. Come back to Sparkly and a ladder will appear. Once you're in the nest there's a lever to pull which activates a large door after you defeat the three black phantoms in 1-4. You will then ride a carriage that will take you to the sixth archstone called 'Archstone of the Giant'. I was blown away by this amazing world and new bosses!

I hate to come here and be a bother to anyone but I had unfortunately failed at getting Boletaria to pure white, I’d only need to get 1 black phantom kill to get pure white. I’d happily get the rest of the coins on my own. My user PSN Crimmking,
Really wish there was other ways of getting white tendency. Like helping people kiss bosses, That really should apply.

Glitch? The coin did not appear in Latria PWWT/Fractured. All other Archstones worked, so 6 coins this time around. Note: a different game file retrieved 7 coins in PWWT.

Just picked up my 27th coin. Funny enough, no coin would drop from world 2 until I got 26. Then a coin finally dropped from the box in the cell when you rescue the grave robber. Thanks!!

Too many responsibilities to do this without abusing adhd meds. If someone could help me get some ceramic coins I'd be extremely grateful. PSN agustin_100

The comments/videos have shown that the 4-1 coin appears in PWWT and the 4-2 coin PBWT. On my file however, the world tendencies were switched. Perhaps a rare bug? If the 4-1 coin isn't appearing in PWWT try 4-2 before messing with world tendency.

I goofed and did all of the world tendency events in the mines and didn't grab the coins. Would anyone be willing to help me get to pwwt by invading me? It would be greatly appreciated! My psn ID is VeeZee11

                                  • I don't why the locations of 4-1 and 4-2 coins were edited, but the Fextralife video is 100% correct about the tendencies and locations of all coins. I tested myself today (26/07/21).

I have destroyed ever piece of breakable debri on 2-2 in the lava pit in fractured world pure white world tendancy and I didn't find a ceramic coin. What am I doing wrong?

Does anyone know if you can get the same coin more than once in the same spot. For example, I get the coin in 1-2 then do it again can I get another coin. Thanks

                                        • Anonymous

You do NOT need ‘PURE’ tendency! Simply reaching BLACK/WHITE is enough to get them to spawn.

I have tested this, reaching ONLY black/white in Fractured Mode without hitting Pure.

On a side note, hitting these tendency and then tipping the scale will not keep the coins in the world

Im in PWWT in area 5, but cannot get the ceramic coin to pop there in 5-2. Ive travelled there several times, busted the crate and no coin. My character tendency is also pure white. Any suggestions on what's wrong, or do I just keep reloading n travelling there hoping it will pop? Ive gone 3 or 4 times. I also went to where the coin should be in PBWT in 5-2 just to make sure the area wasnt reversed in locations.

Does character tendency affect the drops? Do all worlds have to be pure white first befroe you can collect or does the order not matter? Im on ng+ and i cant find the one in 3-1 prison of hope :/ dont really have anyone to play with either T-T

                                              • Anonymous

Just collected a coin from Blige's cell in 4-1 in pure white. Definitely an error above. 4-1 is PWWT, the pit in 4-2 is PBWT.

                                                • Anonymous

Alright, so in 4-1 I have pure white tendency, have defeated archdemon, and im in fractured. The coin in the graverobbers cell will not appear, I am going to experiment with this and see why its not showing up. Im thinking its because i did adjudicator skip or something. But please give suggestions if you have them

                                                  • Anonymous

I think it doesn't has to be pure black/white tendency. For example, in my 2-1 black world tendency, I got a ceramic coin then I decide to kill the red npc phantom. He didn't spawn. I killed myself one more time in order for him to spawn.

So I'm guessing you just have to be close to pure tendency.....oh, don't forget about entering fracture world.

                                                    • Anonymous

I couldn't find the 4th coin PWWT at 2-2 as per the video. Is there any chances of it being lost forever? I might have to do NG++ just to get this armor. Or someone can help me with giving the ceramic coins..

                                                      • Anonymous

Huh, I don't have PWWT in 1-3, but I still found both ceramic coins. I'm close to it, but not 100%. (And then I accidentally killed Ostrava while trying to save him lol)

                                                        • Anonymous

I think there is more to it than Pure white...I think the Arch demon of the Soul Stone area must be defeated. For most areas you must have defeated the Archdemon to achieve pure white, but in Boletaria this is not the case. I have pure white world and have only defeated Phalanx, Tower Knight & Penetrator, so it appears White world tendency triggers after killing 3 bosses w/o dying in human form. I have white world on the 4th stone, Shadowmen area, and have been able to recover the coin in the dungeon, but the coins are not in Bolateria...I can only assume that I need to defeat the king before they will drop...

                                                          • Anonymous

This looks impossible. If you go from pure white to pure black in one play through, is it possible to hit pure white again in NG+?

                                                            • Anonymous

If you summon a friend to bird in 4-1 and they drop a coin in your world, reload and she will give it to you as a pick up item. You can do this to get a 14th...

                                                                Can confirm, this exists!

I'm in Fractured Mode with PWWT, and it just will not appear no matter how many times I go back to the Nexus and retry.. Anyone else having a similar issue with any of the ceramic coins?

                                                                  • Anonymous

                                                                      • Anonymous
