This ring really should've been something you receive after the maiden astrea fight. You completed everything and get this ring that makes it easier to back track through 5-2 and collect whatever you may have missed.

Very interesting addition to the Remake. Always wanted something like this in the original, especially since later FromSoftware games had things like it.

Bluepoint’s placement of this item is genius. It’s safe to assume most players will go through Latria before the Valley and after beating fool’s idol and maneaters without dying in body form you’ll trigger pure white tendency allowing you to do the events then do the black tendency events after which includes obtaining this ring. This means you can obtain it before ever visiting the giant swamp but it isn’t just given to you with ease you still need to put some work in to getting it.

Deeply disappointed to learn of this addition to the remake. I haven’t played yet but wouldn’t this trivialise 5-2? Being unable to roll in the swamp forcing you to approach combat differently while you’re in it makes up 90% of the level

Can someone drop one for me as it’s not in my game even though I am definitely on PBWT

I have PBWT (icon is black and pulsing red), and the Primeval Demon was there just around the corner, but the ring is stuck on top of the pillar... I can see it, but have no way to reach it. Lord Rydell's BP wouldn't spawn either. Do certain events close themselves off as you defeat other BP enemies, despite I never warped, died, or reloaded between 3-1 and 3-2?
That's not what this ring does. It boosts mobility in deep water.

I wish this was in the original, thank god that Dark Souls has the rusted iron ring
