Physical Defense is a Defensive Stat in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Physical Defense determines your character's displays your current Physical defense. Defines the protection your character has against physical damage. Defensive Stats are determined by your Attributes and Equipment.

Physical Defense Effect

• Displays your current Physical defense.
• Defines the protection your character has against physical damage.

How to increase Physical Defense

• Each Point you assign to Vitality increases Physical Defense. 
• You can increase your Physical Defense by equipping any type of Armor or Shield, depending on the equipment the defense may vary.
• The higher your Soul Level is, the less damage you take from basic physical attacks.
