Blessed Upgrades is a type of Upgrade path in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade paths allow the player to ascend their weapons and shields to a specific path that grants unique buffs and effects.
Blessed Upgrades Information
Blessed Upgrades can be performed by Blacksmith Ed. This path requires the Faintstone material. Lowers any STR and DEX bonuses but it also provides a magical damage effect to the weapon that scales with the Faith stat. It also provides an HP regen. effect of +2~6 / second. Blessed Upgrades Requirements
This upgrade path requires the Faintstone material and can be upgraded from +1 to a max level of +5. Each weapon that can be upgraded to the Blessed path requires a certain amount of Faintstone. Listed below are the variations of the material and its location, as well as the compatible weapons for the Blessed upgrade path.
Shard of Faintstone
- Dropped by Depraved One in the Swamp of Sorrow.
- Can be bought from the Filthy Woman in the Swamp of Sorrow.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard in Valley of Defilement. Across the bridge, next to the Rat's nest.
Chunk of Faintstone
- Dropped by Depraved One in the Swamp of Sorrow.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard in Valley of Defilement. Across the bridge, next to the Rat's nest.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard in the Rotting Haven. On the boss area, there is a path to the right that leads to more creatures. Midway through this path, you can see the lizard.
- Dropped by a Black Phantom in the Swamp of Sorrow.
Pure Faintstone
- Dropped by Depraved One in the Swamp of Sorrow.
- Dropped by Giant Depraved One in the Swamp of Sorrow.
- If you have 20 points in your Faith stats, talk to Worshipper of God in the Nexus.
Blessed Upgrades Compatible Weapons
AnonymousI might just be dumb, but I'm always confused on how to add different upgrades to weapons. I have a winged spear +7 and I want to add a blessed upgrade to it but when I go to Ed there isn't any option for different upgrades. Are there certain requirements or conditions that need to be met?

Wish I could get a blessed Estoc. Crestoc is nice, but I want a Blestoc.
