Spells or Magic in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake is cast by Catalysts. Spells can be purchased from various merchants found throughout the game. Magic is categorized into two types, Magic Spells and Miracles.
Magic Spells focus around offensive strategies that can both inflict damage and apply negative Status Effects against hostile characters such as Enemies and Bosses. Some Magic Spells also offer some self-buffs.
Miracles, on the other hand, are spells that focuses on defense and healing properties which include a variety of utility and augmentation magic as well as a range of offensive magic.

Ok so I need to ask, how many spells, in general, can you hold in your current arsenal at a time? What is the upmost limit of spells you can hold, whether it be miracles or magic spells?
Can you hold up to 6 magic spells and 6 miracles at the same time (12 spells at once, basically)? Or can you only hold up to 6, whether it be magic spells or miracles?
