Faintstone Chunk (or Chunk of Faintstone) is an Upgrades found in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade Materials are items that are used to strengthen the statistical value and to increase the effect of a certain piece of equipment.
A chunk of cold, holy ore that emits a faint glow. Reinforces straight swords, axes, hammers, and the like.
Imbues weapons with a deiFic blessing. Weapons can be reinforced by faintstones up to level S.
A weapon blessed by this ore gradually restores its wielder's HP.

- Dropped by Depraved One (Shamans) in the Swamp of Sorrow
- Dropped by Giant Depraved One (Meat Cleaver) in the Swamp of Sorrow
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard in Depraved Chasm. Across the bridge, next to the Rat's nest.

AnonymousYour best bet for chunks is to kill the Crystal Lizard on the path to the right after entering yhe Maiden Astrea boss room. I got a total of 8 chunks after killing the lizards 4 times (they respawn based on how many bosses you killed in that archstone).

Its not listed, but from the dirty colossus arch stone, go to the poisoned shaman near fog gate. Go left and climb the platform. Follow the path you'll see a body with a chunk.

The crystal lizard across from rats nest is faith shards not chunks

Faintstone chunks are very clearly dropping at a higher rate in PBWT.
