Bastard Sword is Large Sword Weapon in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Large Swords are usually held with both hands and are capable of inflicting a huge amount of damage towards hostile characters but are slow, making the player vulnerable to fast enemy attacks.
This large sword, similar to a straight sword, is a versatile weapon, but its weight means it usually required the use of both hands.
The smashing overhead attack greatly depletes a target's stamina, and easily breaks their guard.
Bastard Sword Location: Where to Find Bastard Sword
- Found in: Gates of Boletaria. Before the stairs with the rolling boulder, there's an inaccessible treasure on the lower level. Once the rolling boulder comes crashing down, you can drop yourself there and grab it.

This sword has unique ability to dont disturb enemy if both handed, I think the same effect as Graverobber's Ring.. works at least for 1-3 backstabbing knights

"but its weight means it usually required the use of both hands." Did we forget what a Bastard, or hand-and-a-half sword is, Fromsoftware? Do not call it a Bastard sword if it is not intended to be used with either 1 OR 2 hands. Ignoring that, why the **** should this sword need 2 hands, anyway? It's honestly probably 5 to 7 pounds. I don't know what this myth is about European swords being ridiculously heavy. If you need 2 hands to lift that, you are an infant. I can't use this weapon because the character's huge and lumbered swings are just absolutely comical, he looks like he should be swinging a ****ing telephone pole around.
