In the early game, it is possible to run out of consumables for poison in the poisonous swamp (or rarely in the tower of Latria). This spell can come in handy. Then again, you can buy the consumables anyway and by the time one reaches the swamp, they are most likely already prepared. Could see more use if it cost 5 MP or something...
