Full Below the Nexus Walkthrough
Once you defeat all the world bosses, a cut-scene will start and the middle seal in The Nexus opens up. After this point, you can no longer upgrade your Soul Level by talking to The Maiden in Black. You may still be able to enter any world and farm souls or items, upgrade items, and do whatever you want without finishing the game.
However, when you do talk to The Maiden in Black, she will take you to the end zone. Another cutscene plays out, after the cutscene, talk to The Maiden in Black, she will tell you to enter the Old One.
Enter the Old One, destroy the branches that are blocking your path and advance further through the fog door. Here then is the final boss fight against King Allant, a deformed and disgusting being that has given up to the Old One influence. Due to its slow movement and limited moveset, King Allant is an easier fight than most of the previous Bosses.
Boss Battle: King Allant
Once killed, you can grab the Soulbrandt from the spot you defeat the boss. When reaching out for the exit, another short cutscene plays. Now you may either exit the Old One's innards or kill The Maiden in Black; either option ends the current playthrough, triggering the "good" and "bad" ending respectively.
Before you complete your first playthrough, be sure to upgrade and collect as many souls as you can to level up. Because once you finish the game the first time, the next playthrough going to be a lot more difficult than the first playthrough. There are a number of things to consider before progressing to your next game cycle. Information can be found on the New Game + wiki page
Good Ending
- Turn back to the exit, The Maiden in Black thanks you by telling you that her duty is fulfilled. Go pass the Forest-like area before the boss fight to trigger the ending.
Bad Ending
- You kill The Maiden in Black while she's lulling the Old One to sleep. The Old One senses you as a new and powerful demon, hungry for more souls.

If no one is gonna ask it then I will. If you use the Archstone to go back to the Nexus before you choose an ending, are you not able to level up?

This is a little bit irritating. Does the Nexus path to the Old One opens after or before I defeated King Allant?

Why is this guy f***ing one-f***ing-shotting me!!! F*** this bulls*** final boss!!!

Gotta be the shittiest final boss. soo anticlimactic.
ps: **** your metaphorical bs okay? idgaf i wanted to fight a cool hard final boss but noooooooooooo.
How do I get "Seekest Soul Power" achievement without killing the Maiden?

Should add that killing maiden here will give you red eye stone and her soul which can be used to get the soulsuck ability

When you expected to fight a true final boss, and then you see... this.

I like the idea of what they did with King Allant, but I feel like it would have been better not to make it a fight at all (for example, just have let the player interact with him and choose to kill him). It would have the same effect of showing what his pursuit of power turned him into and might have avoided people complaining about it being a bad boss fight even though it's not really one. Although, I don't really know why anyone would have any expectations of there even being a fight here. The entire game builds up to False King Allant and it's pretty clear that the Maiden in Black is simply going to put the Old One to sleep, meaning there's no reason to think you will fight it.
