Underground Temple (Also known as "World 2 - 3" or "Flamelurker Archstone" in Demon's Souls) is a Location in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Archstone of the Demon Flamelurker. Ages ago, a fire demon was imprisoned in an underground temple littered with the bones of dragons. Beyond this prison, in a sea of molten lava, are the resting bones of a dragon of unfathomable size. Full Flamelurker Archstone (Underground Temple) Walkthrough

starting-point-underground-tunnel-demons-souls-wiki-guide-min

After defeating the Flamelurker demon in The Tunnel City, you'll be able to access the Underground Temple which is the last area for this world. You can interact with the Archstone of the Digger King in The Nexus to travel to the Underground Temple. When you arrive, simply go straight and enter through the fog door where the boss awaits.

Boss Battle: Dragon God

Upon entering, go straight and turn right. Walk up to the pillars that are blocking your path and bait the Dragon God to attack where you're standing, be ready to dodge when it's about to attack. The impact will destroy the pillars, allowing you to continue further. You'll see that there's another set of pillars blocking your way, so you have to bait the boss again to destroy the pillars. Timing is key here so that you can avoid the attack that can instantly kill you.

Another way to do this is to use your magic to break the pillars, it'll need a few attacks before it's completely destroyed. Just make sure you're hiding behind a pillar so that the Dragon God doesn't see you. When it looks away, just run behind another frame and continue destroying the remaining pillars blocking your way with long-range magic. When you reach the end, you'll find a corpse against a wall that you can loot to obtain x2 New Moon Grass.

Now, you'll see that there's a ballista. Simply walk up to the glowing button that's on the right side and press it. A short cutscene will trigger where you'll see a large harpoon shoots the Dragon God from the ballista. The Dragon God then slams its fist onto the ballista, destroying it and opening up a path for you to take.

Quickly head to the bottom section and loot another corpse to find x1 Stone of Ephemeral Eyes. Continue going west, but again, don't forget to hide behind the pillars, you'll need to destroy the rubble ahead, just like you did earlier so that you can pass through. This path is quite long, so you have to be mindful that the humungous demon doesn't catch you as you move. At the end of the path, head up the steps and you'll find the second ballista. Activate it by pressing the glowing button and it'll shoot the large harpoon at the demon - this will make the Dragon God unconscious, leaving it with little HP.

After activating the second ballista, when you turn back head to the narrow walkway on your right to find x1 Master's Ring on a corpse. There's also a Crystal Lizard near the second ballista. Near the face of the Dragon God, there's a lootable body that contains x1 Legendary Warrior Soul Once he's gone, touch the Archstone to obtain. x1 Dragon Demon Soul and x1 Pure Dragonstone.

    • Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to break the rubble in the area with a bow, but it takes way longer than magic. I think the soul ray works so quickly because it hits the rubble multiple times with its piercing damage.

It takes 20 arrows to make the rubble visibly change, and you have to do this 4 times for each piece. That means you need ~80 for each piece of rubble.*

I would recommend bringing around 600 standard arrows to the fight and using a compound sticky longbow for the last rubble.

*I tested this using normal arrows and a stick compound longbow +1. Working as of 12/8/22.

      • It's damn easy with a mage build. Using two wield with a Crescent Falchion +5, two hits (a running hit and a swing) destroyed the pillar.
I've just cast Warding before the running and destroyng pillars part. Then after the first arrow I used Water Veil (but I don't why it didn't breath fire on me).

Archstone 2 would be my favorite location if not for this area. Armor spider and flame lurker give me big vibes in the mine and tunnel volcano environment... but then this... :(

Why does the guide say bait the dragon into hitting the pillars? That works for like the first set of pillars but after that just use your melee weapon and two hand it to break the pillars unless you're a mage. I thought what it was saying was for all the pillars you have to bait the dragon and it doesn't tell you that you can melee the pillars?
