Tearing Upgrades is a type of Upgrade path in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade paths allow the player to ascend their weapons and shields to a specific path that grants unique buffs and effects.
Tearing Upgrades Information
Tearing Upgrades can be performed by Blacksmith Ed. Requires the Suckerstone. Increases DEX bonus, lowers any STR bonus, and it also applies bleeding damage to the weapon. Listed below the table are the following Stats that scales per level for the Tearing upgrade path.

Tearing Upgrades Requirements
This upgrade path requires the Suckerstone material and can be upgraded from +1 to a max level of +5. Each weapon that can be upgraded to the Tearing path requires a certain amount of Suckerstone. - Dropped by Phosphorescent Slugs in The Ritual Path and the Swamp of Sorrow.
Chunk of Suckerstone
- Dropped by Phosphorescent Slugs in The Ritual Path and the Swamp of Sorrow.
Pure Suckerstone
- Dropped by Phosphorescent Slugs in The Ritual Path and the Swamp of Sorrow.
- 1 Found on a corpse near the Meat Cleaver Black Phantom in the Swamp of Sorrow.
- 1 Found in the Plague Swamp in the Rotting Haven.
