Plagued is a Status Effect in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Plagued While plagued, will quickly lose HP and will not survive without cure or powerful healing items or miracles. Plagued also reduces the effectiveness of healing items and slows Stamina Regen. Status Effects can affect the player in various ways both positive and negative. 

Plagued Information

• Effect: While plagued, will quickly lose HP and will not survive without cure or powerful healing items or miracles.
  Plagued also reduces the effectiveness of healing items and slows Stamina Regen.
• Remedy for Plagued: you can cure plagued by using Widow's Lotus, Dark Moon Grass or a Cure miracle. 
• Players and NPCs afflicted with the plague will emit a hollow sound like a high wind or a guttural moan and be covered in grainy black fog. It rapidly depletes HP, making it virtually impossible to survive without some means of curing it, or a large supply of powerful healing items or miracles. It also weakens the effects of healing items and slows Stamina regeneration.

How to acquire Plagued

The following is a list of magic and weapons that can inflict Plague.

• Death Cloud
• Baby's Nail

You can be inflicted with Plagued by the following enemies and environment

• Plague Rats
• Plague Babies
• At Rotting Haven (5 - 3)
