Penetrating Sword is a Straight Sword Weapon in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Straight Swords are ordinary swords that provide balance between slashing and thrusting attacks. Straight Swords can be held by the player with one or two hands.
A long straight sword used by the Penetrator, one of the heroes of Boletaria. As the name states, its thrusts are especially powerful. Because of its irregular size for a straight sword, it requires great strength and technique.

- Found in: Inner Ward, after fighting the Red Eye Knight patrolling the area, you can drop on a ledge on the right side of the bridge just before the 3 crossbow men

what a shitty weapon. This is the reason people say dex sux, there is literally not a single weapon that can carry you through NG+ cycles, all dex options fall off tremendously, and some, like this one, are never any good to begin with. Same goes for Makoto, Blind etc.

so if you upgrade this weapon past +3 it will give you an extra 9 damage on the dex scaling for +4 and +5 each. i have 35 dex and a +5 penetrating and i get 90 +98.

This sword is intended to shine, if it can shine, with cursed weapon. In duels it’s range and power will be more than enough to kill an unwary opponent in a few hits. It will also use light weapon, but split damage is split damage and I’m not a fan...
May have low damage, but that range tho
