Moonlightstone Shard (or Shard of Moonlightstone) is an Upgrades found in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade Materials are items that are used to strengthen the statistical value and to increase the effect of a certain piece of equipment.
Ore which reflects moonlight. Enhances straight swords, curved swords, axes, hammers, and so on.
An ore that applies a strong magical effect to a weapon. Weapons can be strengthened by Moonlightstones up to a maximum of level 5.

- Included as a Digital Deluxe Edition bonus
- Dropped by Hoplite.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard Side passage left at the starting Archstone
- Dropped by Prisoners.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. In the first floor, after fighting the Prisoner Horde, keep going forward and turn left.
- Can be bought from Once Royal Mistress.
- Can be found on the first floor's balcony, after defeating the Prisoner Horde.

- Can be found just outside the giant beating heart., on the edge of a platform.

How do we use this to upgrade? I have plenty, but the blacksmiths don’t offer to upgrade any of my weapons with it.
