Iron Helmet (or Fluted Helmet) is a Helm in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. This helm is part of the Fluted Set. Helms protect the player's head by applying various defensive properties, it also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some sets of armor are available to both genders but are slightly different for male and female characters. Those that are identical in appearance are labeled as unisex.
Iron helm with finely cut grooves. it is used by the knights of the relatively advanced region of southern Boletaria. The fine grooves are designed to enhance the protective effect of the thin iron sheet. Its heaviness slightly impedes stamina regeneration.

- Corpse in the Prison of Hope, on the first floor. Found alongside Silver Bracelet.

- It is the lightest Heavy helm, along with the Gloom Helmet, while boasting the second-highest physical defense, along with the Gloom Helmet and the Mirdan Helmet.
- in the Demon's Souls remake, an iron helmet that uses the original design for the fluted helmet can be collected from a corpse after the first Vanguard Demon fight, if it is beaten. Ostrava of Boletaria also wears the fluted helmet from the original game.

They remade the original helmet, yet instead of using it they instead replaced it with another far inferior design and then hid to original away in a secret area that 99% of players will never reach.

The info in this page is wrong. The iron helm is not part of the fluted set and is found after defeating the tutorial boss, in the area of the dragon god with all the other bonuses.

I’m in 2nd playthrough and got 17 ceramic coins，yet I abandoned it and started a new game just for this goddamn helmet.
I’m kinda mad that i missed this on a female character. Why did they mess with the design dammit.

The iron helmet and fluted helmet are different helmets but have the same stats and look different.

They remade the helmet into a generic look and hid the original well known design in an area you only have one chance to reach per character and it’s a chance you’re supposed to miss too. As if that wasn’t enough they even placed it off the path in that area so it’s difficult to see. Hiding the Penetrator set was brilliant because it was an added bonus but messing with the fluted design and then pulling this bs for people who preferred the original look was completely pointless.

Somehow missed it on my first playthrough in the remake, even though I successfully beat Vanguard. Only just found it now that I restarted to "test out" a new build. But I already got the Penetrator's set in my first save... Ugh, I hate not having everything all in one file lol
This version of the helmet IS NOT found at the Prison of Hope. The FLUTED helmet found there is from the Knight starting class' starting gear. This IRON helmet is found at the Unknown Egress (area after killing Vanguard in the tutorial area), to the right next to some stairs before the fence.
