Great Axe is a Large Axe Weapon in Demon's Souls. Large Axes require high Strength to wield properly. While they have longer reach and break guards much more easily than Axes, they are also much slower and leave users vulnerable to punishment.
A large axe. A Cleaver. Similar to an axe, it is very versatile but it's too heavy to wield with ordinary strength. Using that weight, this weapon blows enemies away. The effect of a direct hit is also larger than that of a standard axe.
Location: Where to Find Great Axe
- Drop: Axe Soldier (1-1).
- Found: 2-2 in the cavern where Patches, the Hyena and Filthy Man are. Head up the stairs to the right, after entering the cliffside.
- Looted off a corpse at 2-2. Alternatively, if you take the left path from the Archstone, after the elevator room, keep going straight. Once you reach the open cavern, turn right and head towards the wooden platform. Walk up a bit and drop down to the third platform below.

About 85% as OP as the meat cleaver if you don’t wanna jump through the all the hoops for it this is waaaaay easier to get and one shots nearly everything upgraded and with decent str.

When you research this Axe you will find many claims thats its 2-handed R1 and R2 have hyperarmor. That is only partially correct! Any heavy knockback like firestorm and Dragon Bone Smasher will still break your animation AND the hyperarmor only kicks in roughly 40% through the animation when you are going for the actual swing. This makes any move except for the Roling attack very dangerous to use in PVP as both people pressing R1 at the same time, as your enemy has a quick weapon, will leave you you stunned or even stunlocked. A very high skillcap weapon and not recommended for beginners.

According to the chart the dozer axe is made from a dagger +7 with the mixed demon's soul. Wrong!

Unlike the Meat Cleaver a Strength build can fit on any soul level pvp range and at the top of them is this bad boy. You can claim anything you want about the Dragon Bone Smasher being the best strength weapon but the weapon has 2 big problems.
1. Its a meme weapon
2. Doesn't combo like the Great Axe does.
