Fatal Upgrades is a type of Upgrade path in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade paths allow the player to ascend their weapons and shields to a specific path that grants unique buffs and effects.
Fatal Upgrades Information
Fatal Upgrades can be performed by Blacksmith Ed. This upgrade path requires the Marrowstone. The effect of the Marrowstone applied to weapons such as the Dagger, Estoc, and Rapier grants a Critical damage bonus towards backstabs/ripostes. But it also lowers the base damage of the weapon. Fatal Upgrades Requirements
This upgrade path requires the Marrowstone material and can be upgraded from +1 to a max level of +5. Each weapon that can be upgraded to the Fatal path requires a certain amount of Marrowstone. Shard of Marrowstone
- Dropped by Giant Ticks in Valley of Defilement and the Swamp of Sorrow,
- Dropped by Giant Mosquitos in Valley of Defilement and the Swamp of Sorrow.
Chunk of Marrowstone
- Dropped by Giant Ticks in Valley of Defilement and the Swamp of Sorrow.
- Dropped by Giant Mosquitos in Valley of Defilement and the Swamp of Sorrow.
Pure Marrowstone
- Dropped by Giant Ticks in Valley of Defilement and the Swamp of Sorrow.
- Found in the Plague Swamp in the Rotting Haven.
Fatal Upgrades Compatible Weapons
AnonymousGo backwards from the 5-2 archstone (up the boss room) and clear the three enemies (and black phantom) and there will be three farmable giant ticks that drop chunks and purestones. PBWT recommended.

I need to test the difference between this and +10 and see what kinda results you get since the damage drop is significantly noticable on normal atracks
