Dark Upgrades is a type of Upgrade path in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade paths allow the player to ascend their weapons and shields to a specific path that grants unique buffs and effects.
Dark Upgrades Information
Dark Upgrades can be performed by Blacksmith Ed. Requires the Cloudstone material for upgrading. The effect raises the Magic Damage Reduction % but it also resets the Guard Break Reduction of the shield to default. Dark Upgrades Requirements
This upgrade path requires the Cloudstone material and can be upgraded from +0 to a max level of +5. Each weapon that can be upgraded to the Dark path requires a certain amount of Cloudstone. Shard of Cloudstone
- Dropped by Storm Beast in Shrine of Storms, The Ritual Path, and the Altar of Storms.
- Can be bought from the Graverobber Blige in The Ritual Path for 3000 souls.
Chunk of Cloudstone
- Dropped by Storm Beast in Shrine of Storms, The Ritual Path, and the Altar of Storms.
Pure Cloudstone
- Dropped by Storm Beast in Shrine of Storms, The Ritual Path, and the Altar of Storms.
- Dropped by the Storm King in the Altar of Storms.
