Crushing Upgrades is a type of Upgrade path in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade paths allow the player to ascend their weapons and shields to a specific path that grants unique buffs and effects.
Crushing Upgrades Information
Crushing Upgrades can be performed by Blacksmith Ed. Forge weapons with the Greystone that provides STR bonus but at the same time, it removes any DEX bonus. Listed below the table are the following Stats that scales per level for the Crushing upgrade path.
Note : Weapons upgraded to this path can still be buffed with Light Weapon and Cursed Weapon as well as Consumable buffs like Pine Resin.

Crushing Upgrades Requirements
This upgrade path requires the Greystone material and can be upgraded from +1 to a max level of +5. Each weapon that can be upgraded to the Crushing path requires a certain amount of Greystone. Shard of Greystone
- Dropped by Scale Miners in Stonefang Tunnel, The Tunnel City
- Dropped by Rock Worm in The Tunnel City.
Chunk of Greystone
- Dropped by Rock Worm in The Tunnel City.
Pure Greystone
- Dropped by Rock Worm in The Tunnel City.
- Rewarded after showing the Dragon Bone Smasher to Scirvir, the Wanderer in The Tunnel City. Pure White World Tendency is required.
