Crescent Upgrades is a type of Upgrade path in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade paths allow the player to ascend their weapons and shields to a specific path that grants unique buffs and effects.
Crescent Upgrades Information
Crescent Upgrades can be performed by Blacksmith Ed. This path requires the Moonshadestone material. Removes any STR and DEX bonuses but it also provides a magical damage effect to the weapon that scales with the MAG stat. It also provides a Mana regen. effect of +1 regen / 5~3 seconds. Crescent Upgrades Requirements
This upgrade path requires the Moonshadestone material and can be upgraded from +1 to a max level of +5. Each weapon that can be upgraded to the Crescent path requires a certain amount of Moonshadestone. Listed below are the variations of the material and its location, as well as the compatible weapons for the Crescent upgrade path.
Shard of Moonshadestone
- Dropped by Reaper in The Ritual Path.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard in Shrine of Storms. Roll over the broken down tower walls to find a corpse containing x1 Regenerator's Ring, then take the narrow path on the right to find a Crystal Lizard.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard in Shrine of Storms. In the area where you find Sparkly, the Crow. Get close to the right edge and you will see one Crystal Lizard, drop down and chase it to kill it.
- Can be bought from the Graverobber Blige for 3000 souls each in The Ritual Path.
Chunk of Moonshadestone
- Dropped by Reaper in The Ritual Path.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard in Shrine of Storms. Roll over the broken down tower walls to find a corpse containing x1 Regenerator's Ring, then take the narrow path on the right to find a Crystal Lizard.

Crescent Upgrade might be OP but the weapon choices are so **** and boring compared to Moon choices. No polearms kills this for me.

What do you have to do to a flamberge for the game to say "okay you can upgrade it?" Cuz I have a +3 flamberge and see the other upgrades, but not the crescent one.

Does the MP regeneration stack if you have a crescent weapon in both hands

In game description is wrong for this item this does not upgrade crescent weapons it makes moon
