I didnt get anything from killing patches and biorr in the nexus as part of the Mephistopheles story, why would this be?

Pretty sure you dont need pure white to get the miralda soul. Ive consistently managed to gain access to that area before even killing a single archdemon

Importantly, the game does not immediately give you the soul when you kill a prim Demon, it drops on the ground and will not remain there if you… oh, I don’t know… die to a storm beast right as you kill the demon in 4-2, wasting all those ephemral eyes you burned getting from white to black tendency and forever weakening the final product of your character’s build, crippling a sizable portion of all the time and effort spent on carefully planning your weapon upgrades in advance until ng+.

          Just an example.

Does anyone know how I got one? I got the recovery miracle having never achieved pure white or black in any world, killing any NPC, or trading with snuggly. I just didn't pay attention where I picked it up yet this page says I shouldn't have been able to get any yet?

Not realizing I was in pure black tendency in Stonefang, I randomly stumbled on the crank on the wall that activates the lift. I took it down, and there it was.. gigantic primeval demon scared the crap out of me. These things are hideous damn.

if any of you EVER even lay as much as a FINGER on Biorr, ill do what a hoonter must and turn you into mush like Lady Cainhurst

So I have pure white tendency in my world's I can't get some of the prime evils? I've got the the Dragon Bone Smasher at +3.

                  • This is the kind of thing that shows old FromSoft's ability to balance things properly. If you're going for a good faith build, you get exactly 8 colorless souls (5 from killing primeval demons, 1 from scaffolding, and 2 from trading with Sparkly) Giving you the exact number needed to upgrade one weapon to +5 and still have enough to trade for the recovery miracle.
