Bramd is a Large Hammer Weapon in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Large Hammers have good range and are designed to perform slow, heavy attacks. Large Hammers are effective against with heavily armored Enemies, as well as destroying their shields, breaking their guard, and depleting the enemy's stamina.
A dreadfully large, crude iron hammer. One of the Vinland family treasures.
Said to have been bent into its shape by an old killer of giants.
Increases resistance to plague and poison, but impossible to wield properly by anyone of ordinary strength, even when grasped with both hands.

Did I just find a weapon heavier than the smelter hammer? I didn't think that was possible.
- Anonymous
too many weapons are wastes. who the hell would ever use half this **** in PvP? xD
- Anonymous
I always thought this weapon looked goofy as hell in the original Demon’s Souls. Here you have this aesthetically gorgeous armor and shield, and then you have this weird giant hammer thing that looks more cartoony than anything else. But I actually love how it looks in the Remake, mostly because having actual texture work really gave life to the weapon. The PS3 version of this game had like no textures, so it was hard to even make out what kind of vision or aesthetic FromSoftware was going for. Too bad the weapon isn’t actually good.

Bramd can be buffed. Bramd + cracked ToB Curse Weapon is a pretty nasty combo

Don't bother using Colorless Demon Souls to upgrade - normal and +5 have same stats. Found this out only after wasting 5 souls!
- Anonymous
much as I love the moveset and look of the weapon
I wish upgrading it at least boosted the str scaling a bit.
Those colorless demon souls feel wasted.
- Anonymous
I wish you just did more damage instead of the plague resistance

What would wave more?
An ultra greatsword made to slay dragons or...
Ugly ass hammer wielded by Simp Vinland

I recently seen a YouTube video of this weapon being used after a parry and they gave it the greatsword stab animation. Bluepoint did so well until this where it seemed like they exploited the fact that most players use the meat cleaver (which kind of suits that riposte animation) over the great club and bramd and took the lazy way out. Whatever the reason is they just made ds1 + 3 scythe animation look natural, damn.

Why does the redesigned "new and improved" 4K Remake Bramd look like this? It's so, awful-looking. Making it all bent and warped makes no sense whatsoever as a weapon supposedly so heavy, strong and durable. If the "lore" explanation/justification is "Garl used it a lot bashing heads in" then having it show heavy surface wear, OK that would be fine. Scuffs, bloodstains, rust, alright. But being bent and wavy, is this thing made of aluminum, or stainless steel kitchenware? Looks like the handle is about to break off any moment. That concave curve in the head of the weapon just looks dumb. The original PS3 Bramd was simple but elegant and to-the-point. Why they thought it needed to be "reimagined" in a way that it looks like something out of a wacky slapstick cartoon makes me question the sobriety of the art directors at Bluepoint when they approved some of these designs.

While I do love the weapon...specially the moveset.
Why is it so inferior to dragon bone smasher?and so much heavier too?
- Anonymous
Insane durability and no need for upgrades make this weapon a perfect choice for every str build player. If you start with the barbarian you only need 9 levels to be able to two hand this beauty.
One of my favorite elements of the Souls series is the recurring comically oversized bonk sticks.
