Hardstone Shard (Or Shard of Hardstone) is an Upgrade Material in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade Materials are items that are used to strengthen the statistical value and to increase the effect of a certain piece of equipment.
Hard ore. Enhances straight swords, axes, hammers, and so on.
A basic ore that evenly increases the power of a weapon. Weapons can be strengthened by hardstones up to a maximum of level 10.
Hardstone Shard Location:
- Dropped by Hoplite.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard on the side passage left at the starting Archstone. (To reach this area you require Pure Black or Pure White Tendency).
- Can be looted from a corpse in the area shown in the Video Location: Shown in our walkthrough video at 30:35. Click here to watch it
- 2x Dropped by Crystal Lizard at the start of the area, on the left side. Can be visible from the stairs you have to ascend from the archstone.
- Dropped by Scale Miners.
- Can be bought from the Filthy Man for 500 souls.
