Rune Shield is a Small Shield in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Small Shields usually weighs very little and has the least form of protection from attacks. They are often used by players who prefer Parrying rather than Blocking. Its lighter weight also makes it ideal for quick, agile characters with low equipment weight capacity.

      Looks like Gwyndolin's crown...

      Also the Old One has alot of what looks like moonlight arrows sticking out of it, with other moon shaped adornments. Also those same golden moonlike symbols are found next to a statue of an androgynous character holding a staff and sword...
      Coincidence? Probably... but interesting none the less...

        Does anyone know if there are stat penalties if you don't meet the magic requirements? You get the magic defense buff but is there like a damage reduction penalty or stamina penalty if you use it to block?
