Sharpstone Chunk (or Chunk of Sharpstone) is an upgrade item in Demon's Souls and Demon's Souls Remake. Upgrade Materials are items that are used to strengthen the statistical value and to increase the effect of a certain piece of equipment.
A chunk shard of sharp ore. Reinforces thrusting swords, curved swords. spears. and the like.
A rudimentary ore that evenly increases a weapon's strengths. Weapons can be reinforced by sharpstones up to level 10.
Sharpstone Chunk Location: Where to Find Sharpstone Chunk
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. Before the fight with the Tower Knight, there is a staircase on the right, the Crystal Lizard can be found upstairs.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. After the cutscene where the Fat Official closes the door, turn right. You can find one hiding between the columns.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. Behind the 3 Boletaria Soldiers wielding crossbows at the start of the area.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. Hiding behind the planks, halfway the right alleyway
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. There's one Crystal Lizard on the left side of the corridor, just before reaching the room where you fight the Dragon God.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. From the start point, you start through a tunnel, there is a Scale Miner on your right and a Crystal Lizard a little further.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. After the archstone, go left, cross the platform at the upper level, and go through a passage. The Lizard is hiding behind a pile of debris on the left.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. Take the moving platform and venture to the lower level. You will find 2 Crystal Lizards in this room, and they will lead you towards their nest.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. In the lava area, near the exit passage towards the boss. There are 2 Crystal Lizards in the room behind the one with a Large Bearbug.
- Dropped by Crystal Lizard. Just before you jump down on the 3 Rock Worms, you can reach another Crystal Lizard by a ladder. It is located on an upper wooden plank.
- Dropped by Pickaxe (Black Phantom) Scale Miners.
- Can be looted off a corpse on the walkways above Patches, The Hyena encounter.

AnonymousI'm on NG+ and have killed all the crystal lizards on both play throughs and never got enough sharpstone chunks to get my uchigatana to +10. What's that about?
Got every single crystal lizard on this page. Not one dropped sharpstone - shards or chunks. All I got was hard stone and clear stone.
I have looked everywhere for chunks but no luck any ideas anyone?

The underground temple crystal lizard only drops hardstone chunks

Why tf am i searching for sharpstones if every crystal lizard i kill on this list gives me hardstones??

The scale miners with pickaxes in 2-2, are not black phantoms. There are 2 right in the beginning, and then two more in the tunnel towards the the pit. There are more scattered throughout the level, but these 4 are the closest in proximity to one another, and the archstone. With PBWT it took about 25 minutes for me to farm 6 chunks.

Any other spots I farmed those lizards and they won’t spawn anymore because there he bosses are all dead

These lizards are all wrong. At least for the remake. They mistook hardstone for sharpstone. Pretty big difference
